Event:
“Standing Out In a Crowded Market”
14th April 2010, The Atrium, Cardiff, 6.30pm-8.30pm
When Lucy Cohen and Sophie Hughes started Mazuma, they wanted to create a brand that reflected their personalities that felt young, modern and dynamic. As two newly qualified, entrepreneurial individuals they hoped to challenge the stereotype that accounting is something ‘old men in suits do’. Something that they have successfully achieved.
Lucy Cohen and Sophie Hughes set up Mazuma in 2006 after spotting a gap in the market for low cost, high quality accountancy services. After being told by their first business advisor that accountancy couldn’t be rebranded, they made it their mission to do just that! Four years later Mazuma has franchised across the UK and has a large Head Office facility in South Wales. Plans for the future are ambitious and will see Mazuma becoming the UK’s number one provider of small business accountancy services.
Robert Lloyd Griffiths, Chair of IOD
